Brycen and Alison Rogers, along with their two young children, have found their ideal home in The Haven at Hardin Valley. Knoxville natives who moved to The Haven from the Farragut area, the Rogers’ decision to relocate to this growing neighborhood marks the beginning of an exciting new chapter in their lives.

In their previous 1980s-era subdivision, the home and yard demanded a lot of maintenance. Balancing full-time careers with their kids’ busy schedules, they were ready to simplify their lives and focus more on quality family time in a new construction community.

The Rogers discovered their dream home in The Haven, where they are now enjoying their new space and embracing the welcoming, family-friendly atmosphere of the community.

Finding community was a priority for the Rogers. With a growing family and kids eager to make new friends, the couple hoped for a neighborhood where neighbors sought the same connection and shared experience.

“We wanted a home that required less upkeep, with a yard big enough to enjoy without spending our weekends doing endless yardwork,” Brycen explained.

Their search for the perfect fit led them to a web listing featuring their future home. The moment they saw the open-concept living area, 10ft tall ceilings, and craftsman-style details of the Ash floor plan, they were hooked. The home’s location was equally appealing, just minutes from Hardin Valley’s top schools, shopping, and family-friendly activities.

“We wanted to get it right this time so we wouldn’t have to start looking again in a few years,” Alison shared. When the craftsman newel posts at the base of the staircases caught her eye, she recalls telling Brycen, “That house could definitely make me move.”

The couple was immediately impressed by the home’s exceptional craftsmanship and modern design. “It feels like a huge upgrade—everything about it feels high-quality,” said Brycen.

The layout also stood out as incredibly family-friendly. “We can all be doing our own thing, but still be together in the same space,” Alison said. “I love watching the kids play in the living room while I’m in the kitchen cooking dinner.”

The Rogers teamed up with David Ball, Community Sales Manager at The Haven, to both purchase their new Turner home and sell their previous one.

“We really appreciated how Turner was able to work with contingencies,” Brycen said. “David handled everything from start to finish, kept everything on track, and made the entire process feel effortless.”

As one of the neighborhood’s spec homes, key elements like the floor plan, garage, and porch had been pre-selected. However, the couple had the opportunity to work with a Turner Homes design consultant to personalize details like paint colors, cabinetry, and finishes.

“The process was so smooth, and the pre-selected options were exactly what I would have chosen myself,” Alison added.

The Rogers family is now experiencing the life they envisioned in their new home — quality time together in the backyard, evening walks with their dog Piper, and new connections with neighbors. Their son has also made fast friends with other kids on their street.

“We couldn’t be happier with our home and the community we’ve found here,” Brycen shared. “We’re excited to welcome more families to the neighborhood.”
